the torch in crisis (repost)

this came from my friend Edea:

On September 9, 2005 at Philippine Normal University Cafe, the Board of Regents will decide if they will make the publication fee (Torch fee) optional to the students. This is a clear manifestation how Rosas administration violates the campus press freedom using the ultimate enemy of campus press, the Campus Journalism Act of 1991.

Thus, we are asking all concerned PNU students, faculty, organizations, and human rights advocates to help us in this battle. We are also asking all members of College Editors Guild of the Philippines to join us to uphold the freedom of the campus press and the academic freedom.

Alliance of Procrastination

this came from twistedxfactor of highfiber.

The Alliance of Procrastination made me a member.

I am now one of them, a PROCRASTINATOR.

Our purpose is to make life easier by stalling important things in live.

Why risk yourself in doing something new when you can just follow a routine? Why bother yourself with confrontations and decisions when you can just stay at home and call in sick?

We’re good in delaying thing. Hell, even the FBI can use our strengths to delay a hostage drama! We’re good at that.

For us, the wisest course of action, most of the time, would be to simply avoid the unpleasant tasks, thus shortening the time we actually have to work on it.

Isn’t it better just to have fun than spend your time trying to get good grades? Isn’t it better to just relax than be over-stressed at work? Why do something different when failure is a possibility?

In relationships, why get more deeply involve with someone when you can be indecisive and not get hurt? Don’t you feel in control of yourself when you refuse what others tell you to do? Isn’t fun saying "You can’t make me do it!" when they tried to consume your time with something you didn’t want to do?

Our alliance wants our members to be free from the burdens of rules. We promote power and independence. For us, problems do not exist. We provide an escape; escape from something unwanted.

Our group is getting bigger as we speak. We recruit as many people, mostly the youth who would rather stay in bed than go out hiking.

Want to be part of us?
