Ten Reasons Why I Loathe Being A Clinical Instructor

I survived my first semester as a clinical instructor.

Yes, my dear friends, I’ve gave up my yellow-jersey in the St. Luke’s Emergency Room for a teaching stint in my alma mater. And i survived. :D
I never imagined teaching being one hellish profession. Hellish in the sense that there are numerous factors to deal with. Students, co-teachers, parents, dean, grades, lectures. And I also enrolled for masteral subjects. I’m not being intellectual here, it’s jsut for academic compliance in our faculty. Arg.

Nevertheless, I got here the Top Ten Reasons why I loathe being a clinical instructor:

1. Simple things, when redundant, can be really irritating.

2. Students can really be annoying.

3. Parents can really be more annoying.

4. I’m forced to wear corporate attire every day.

5. I’m forced to mind my manners.

6. My patience is on the brink of extinction.

7. I’m forced to think twice when hitting on a young girl in a club.

8. Everyone calls me “Sir.”

9. I never imagined talking for 8 hours can be so exhausting.

and…

10. I can look, but I can never touch. Haha!
